Swimming lessons

What should I bring to class?
  • A swimsuit/swimming trunks (no swimming shorts, as this makes it easier to learn the technique)
  • Please tie long hair back in a ponytail/braid, etc.
  • A bath towel and a small towel to stand on are also useful.
  • Shampoo and shower gel for showering afterwards, if desired.
  • Swimming goggles are allowed, but not required.

Yes, you may. Sometimes this can make your child feel safer.

However, the teacher may sometimes ask them to take them off so that the children also learn to get water in their eyes and not mind it.

No, that is certainly not the intention.

We have noticed that children often swim better when their parents are not watching.
Of course, you are welcome to watch for a moment, but preferably not for the entire lesson.

Yes, indeed! There are changing rooms (separate for boys and girls) and showers!

We endeavour to ensure that your child has the same teacher as much as possible.

If you cancel within 24 hours before the start of a class, we are no longer able to adjust our schedule. For this reason, we cannot offer a refund. If you are unable to attend due to illness (with a doctor’s note), you can make up that lesson the following Tuesday at 4 p.m. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer additional make-up lessons at other times.

To ensure continuity and quality, our courses continue as normal during public holidays and school holidays. You can always see the dates on which the lessons are given in the course descriptions.

When you go to the details of your booking, you will always see the rates for the series or the moment.

We work with Mollie as our payment provider and offer the following options: Bankcontact, Mastercard, Visa, and Ideal.

Mobile Swimwise swimming pools

What about water quality and temperature?

We work with zuuvr, a Belgian company that provides 100% purified water, without chlorine. This ensures 100% natural, chlorine-free water. No dry skin, no odor. Just pure swimming water, soft and clear like spring water.
This is all fully automated.
Measuring, regulating, rinsing, dosing… everything happens at the right time, without waste.
Everything under control, always ready, always in balance.
No more worries about cloudy water or manual interventions. The filtration system keeps itself in top condition.

No, that is certainly not the intention.

Practical

Swimwise Club works with innovative, portable swimming pools, which are slightly different from traditional swimming pool buildings. There is no traditional ticket counter where you can buy tickets. Instead, you order your admission online and come to the pool at your chosen time slot.

Registration in advance = Mandatory

Why registration is mandatory:

  • To monitor the maximum number of visitors.
  • So that everyone can swim comfortably and safely.
  • Registration remains possible as long as there are places available.

Automatic membership

Upon registration, you will automatically become a member of Swimwise swimming club (free of charge).

Upon arrival

You enter via the boys’ or girls’ changing rooms.
Put your shoes aside in the designated area.
Get changed in the communal changing area with lockers.
Keep your registration document (ticket or confirmation) handy; a supervisor may ask to see it.

How does getting changed work?

Swimming at Swimwise is comparable to exercising in a sports hall: there are no individual changing cubicles like in traditional swimming pools.

What you can expect:

  • Separate changing rooms for boys/men and girls/women.
  • No mixed changing areas, but there is an open changing room.
  • Would you like extra privacy?
  • Use the separate sanitary facilities, or use a changing towel. Don’t you have any? Then you can buy one from the supervisor for €15.

Showering = Mandatory

Before entering the pool, a thorough shower is mandatory. We work with natural swimming water without chlorine, which means hygiene and soap-free skin are essential.

Minimum age & swimming abilities

For safety reasons:
Children under the age of 10 must always be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone who cannot swim independently and safely must also be accompanied at all times.
